Because of their size and strength, giants have always been known as brutes, but there was a time when giants were well known to be just as intelligent as humans. They thought like humans and therefore were some of the best mystical creatures at understanding the human thought process. There were many types of giants, they had different castes, but in the end only three were magically capable – the magi, the priests, and the titans. The leader of each of these three castes signed the first contract.
The magi devoted themselves to understanding and enlightenment, while the priests devoted themselves to life and the afterlife. The titans studied magic for use in war. They were the bridge between the more intelligent giants and those that we now remember, the brutes who used their great strength to uproot trees and destroy villages.
